All Metro Health Care, a well-established healthcare company, seeks a dynamic Nursing Supervisor to join its team in Albany.

The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the direction, coordination and direct supervision of the agency’s paraprofessional staff. This position provides in-field professional supervision and on the job training to home health aides, personal care aides, nurses, therapists and counselors. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor also assists in the agency’s continuing education in-service program and field competency testing of all clinical staff.


  • NYS Licensed & currently registered as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing and holds a Diploma, Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year experience in the provision of nursing care in an acute care facility. 1+ years satisfactory Nursing experience in Home Care.
  • Thorough knowledge of the scope of practice of professional and paraprofessional healthcare.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before customers/patients or employees of the agency.
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations as related to medication calculations, units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Good organizational, writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate information with patients of all ages and socioeconomic levels.
  • Flexible Scheduling essential


  • Knowledge of Patient assessment procedure.
  • Knowledge of Patient teaching process.
  • Pathophysiology.
  • Medication, administration, via oral, IM and SQ.
  • Medication interactions (drug-drug, drug-food).
  • Principles of therapeutic diets.
  • Infection control practices, aseptic techniques.
  • Catheter insertion and care.
